Magnetron is founded to develop high technology products. Magnetron believes that the increase in the number of people and companies, which are focused on high-tech, will improve the technology of the country and the world. In this direction, Magnetron sponsored the International Space Station (ISS) Contact event. The event was hosted by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Turkish Meteorological Service (MGM) and Turkish Amateur Satellite Organization (TAMSAT).

In the event, secondary and high school students, accompanied by the Turkish Minister of Agricultre and the Turkish Minister of National Education, communicated with the International Space Station via amateur radio and talked with Astronaut Victor J. Glover.

The interview was included in the category of successful interviews by Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS). In this context, the planned direct connection event with the ISS from Turkey for the first time was successfully completed.
